====== 5th IAPR Workshop on Pattern Recognition in Remote Sensing ======

The [[http://www.iapr.org/|International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR)]] [[http://www.iapr-tc7.org/|Technical Committee 7]] invites you to the 5th IAPR Workshop on Pattern Recognition in Remote Sensing (PRRS 2008) in [[http://www.visittampabay.com/|Tampa, Florida, USA]] on 7 December 2008. The workshop is sponsored by [[http://www.iapr.org/|International Association for Pattern Recognition]] and [[http://www.grss-ieee.org/|IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society]].

Held in conjunction with the most important IAPR event, the
biennial [[http://www.icpr2008.org/|International Conference on Pattern Recognition]], the workshop has established itself as an important event for scientists involved in the combined fields of pattern recognition and remote sensing.

These two research fields have always overlapped, but the large volumes of remote sensing data now coming from last generation sensors require new advanced algorithms and techniques for automatic analysis. This one-day workshop will be the ideal means to spread and exchange experiences by international researchers.
